August Faith Story

2 Timothy 1:7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

I first read this verse back in my uni-days 15 years ago and it strike me that is the answer to all my problems is in this verse and it took me 15 years to truly understand why God has implanted this verse in my heart.

Matthew 6:8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

I have been living in fear:- fear of failure, self-doubt that I'm not good enough, I'm not smart enough. And I'm trying to discover what is my meaning and my purpose that I want for my life.

I was contemplating the dynamic areas of our life’s we constantly work on daily.

- Health

- Finance

- Relationship

- Spiritually

And as a overthinker & a perfectionist, I often wonder what is my life advice for my kids, what I wish my parents could have give me the advice for all the categories above, apart of study hard, going to school, work hard, save money. Instead of doing what they say, I rebel against all of it.

However, I was exploring the dynamic relationship between health, finance and relationship and it really strikes me that above everything else we first must have a relationship with ourselves.

To love ourselves of all of who we are. To have a healthy relationship with ourselves first, to love ourselves, to accept our vulnerability only then we understand how we can have self-discipline.

and it daunt me, relationship is the key, building a healthy relationship with money, with ourselves and above all a healthy relationship with God, so we can explore how we can be the best version of ourselves.

Once we have self-discipline and self-control, we no longer live in fear but as

Galatians 5:22-25 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness and self-control.

As I find the purpose of self-control and what a privilege for me to have God’s words, I no longer live in fear but have even more love, more courage to serve my kids, my family and be at servitude to people!

Shine our light to our family, kids, our friends, collagues, clients, workplace to live a more joyful, purposes and fulfilled life.
