STOP Pleasing People
Welcome to my first blog for this platform. I want to start off with this series call Dear Diary series where I share a little glimpse of my personal life and personal thoughts.
Today I learned What It Means to STOP Pleasing People.
After MIA from the industry for almost 5 years, today I find myself at an job interview.
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
So far my resume & cover letter was very authentic & it scored me an opportunity for an interview.
On the phone, I was being really authentic, showing my confidence and my sincerity.
This has then scored me an Opportunity to meet them & an Opportunity for a trial.
Here is when things goes wrong when I try to IMPRESS VS Trying to Demonstrating My Capabilities & Potential!
10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10
Here‘s for you if you’re reading this while trying to score yourself the ideal work - you are not there to impress people, you’re there to show your current capability & your future potential on how you can serve.
To my chef friends out there, there is a synergy of work flow and work ethos to contribute yourself as a good and professional pastry chef.
As a professional pastry chef, we want to deliver both speed and quality.
Sadly, today i was blinded with trying Impress - and what I believe in delivering quality end results were down the drain with trying to Impress.
4 But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts. 1 Thessalonians 2:4
What I also realise is when I try to impress, I’ve turned my confidence into arrogance. But if I had demonstrated my capabilities & potentials I would have serve the team with a humble heart and Confidences!!
29 For when they are humbled you say, ‘It is because of pride’; but he saves the lowly. Job 22:29
There Is so much more to learn through experience. We can talk with confidences without being arrogant and demonstrate the full potential and capability of who you.
This I learned today can be apply in my Global Distribution business too!

Very often we try to impress others, pleasing people. Here's what I think we should do, Don’t Impress, Instead Inspire!! Inspire to Show the Potential & Capability with Confidence, Courage, Boldness & Energy!
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Whatever happens tomorrow, I thank you God for he provides; He Teach, He Guides!!
The same wishes & prayers goes to you my friend!! Whatever you face today, remember to shine with your true potential!!!
Good Luck!!
Love From Lynnette
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
